I m having a hard time finding actual differences between these two.
Focusrite scarlett solo vs 2i2 reddit.
I purchased a focusrite scarlett solo 2nd gen to connect up my guitar to my computer.
The 2i2 has the 1 4 xlr combined inputs each with 48v.

I m no audiophile so this is an honest question.
Solo has one volume for both so you have to disconnect or power down monitors should you want to use headphones super annoying.
The scarlett solo is truly a compact wonder.
I have a focusrite 2i2 3rd generation audio interface as well as the scarlett studio condenser mic.
The biggest difference is flexibility of the inputs.
It also came with the studio headphones that plug directly into the interface.
Today at random it started making a really loud static like noise.
It s not the headphones.
Id also find the cash to go for the gen 3 2i2.
True it s a single line rather than dual but for someone starting out that shouldn t really matter.
In focusrite solo you get two inputs one xlr input and one 1 4.
When it comes to scarlett 2i2 vs solo both audio interfaces are similar.
They re not super expensive.
The solo has one balanced input and one instrument input.
Why not the scarlett solo.

I ve had it for about a year and it has been completely fine.
Hi i m looking to buy either the focusrite solo or the 2i2.

Scarlett 2i2 or solo for streaming.
I ofc want to buy the solo cause it s cheaper but is the sound card in them the same.
2i2 for the sole reason it has dedicated headphone and monitor volumes.
So i need an interface for recording vocals only and i am looking at these two the um22 is like 70 bucks and the scarlett is 160 is there a big difference between them.
It can be heard in recordings and calls.
A must if you are going to use a pair of condenser mics.
This has been my first attempt at ever trying to run any significant audio program on my computer and i didn t realize how many issues were going to pop up.
In focusrite 2i2 which costs around 50 more than solo there are two inputs as well but both of them accept both xlr and 1 4 plugs.
I ve had a few.
What makes the 2i2 worth the extra 50.
Is the sound quality that different.
Turning off the 48v.
The only difference here is the price and number of inputs.
Just curious i see a lot of people suggesting the scarlett 2i2 as a beginner interface.
At just 1 73 x 5 66 x 4 7 inches it s about 10 15 smaller than the 2i2 and it weighs about half a pound less.
I only need 1 xlr interface for.
Behringer umc22 vs focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen.
